Christina Boodhun-Åkerblom - Director Christina is a native from Stockholm Sweden and has been living and working in the hospitality business in London for the past 6 years. I started working at the Radisson Edwardian and after a year I got the opportunity to open up and work for a new leading boutique hotel in the heart of the financial district called Threadneedles. In 2002 I moved on to a larger chain The Hilton Group. By working for such a group I received a thorough knowledge about service and hospitality and more importantly the need to deliver at a moments notice to ensure total satisfaction. Hard work and effort can be lost by a simple mistake which as a result ruins the client's entire stay. My reward was a promotion to the new flagship of the Hilton group in London "The Waldorf "located in the historic hotel area of the Strand. There I was tasked with restructuring Front Office procedures and training the existing staff to ensure total satisfaction at a five star standard. Favourite Destination - Has to be Mauritius. The island has a natural blend that is both genuine and hospitable. Every major hotel is trained to the highest standards with a service that is personal and true. There is never a no when it comes to a guest request. My favourite hotels on the island have to be Anahita Resort and Le Saint Geran. Le Paradis for its varied range of leisure facilities and positioning by the imposing Le Morne mountain. One & Only Le Saint Geran simply for it's sheer indulgence wow factor, Michelin standard food and second to none service. Shivdas Boodhun - Managing Director Shivdas hails from London England whose parents are from the tropical paradise island hideaway Mauritius that is so popular with the Swedish people. During my third year at university studying Hotel, Restaurant, & Hospitality Management, I worked as a management trainee at the world famous One & Only Le Saint Geran Mauritius, renowned for luxury and service. This experience enabled me to understand the fine line between service, quality and exceeding a person's vision and dreams. Applying my natural service skills at such an institution allowed me to grasp the whole concept of Luxury Travel and understanding that it is a process that can sometimes last for a year planning, choosing, travelling then the acknowledgment that the journey was a success or not. It is here where I learnt that mistakes are not an option. Having worked in every section within the hotel I also learnt that it takes a collective effort from everybody to create on single product and that in order to sell luxury travel you must as a prerequisite know the intrinsic of the hotel industry. After the completion of my studies I joined the Hilton group working within the Front of House area charged with obtaining total guest satisfaction within the department. Favourite Destination - Hard to choose, there are so many fantastic and fascinating places that I have been too but if I had to then Thailand would definitely be high up on the list. It has everything from the hustle and bustle of a cosmopolitan Bangkok with its traditional iconic hotels like the Oriental and Peninsula, the tranquil almost mystical retreats of Chiang Mai to the fast developing tropical playground Koh Samui where the excellent Santaburi Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is located.
